Our Club

We’re a busy tennis, croquet and bridge club with over 500 members. We have 19 tennis courts on 3 different surfaces (astro, hard and grass) and regular club sessions and coaching sessions. We have 5 full-size tournament standard croquet lawns, and members play both Association and Golf croquet. We also have an active bridge section with weekly sessions for Duplicate and Chicago bridge.

Volunteer of the Quarter

Many members of our club willingly give up their time and resources to help support the club on a voluntary basis, so we’re pleased to announce that the Executive Committee has agreed to introduce a recognition scheme to formally record and reward the efforts of our volunteers! The Committee has agreed to introduce a quarterly scheme continuing through the years on a quarterly basis, with a new Volunteer of the Quarter announced at the end of March, June, September and December.   Each Volunteer of the Quarter will be rewarded with a £50 voucher, as a thank you for their contribution... Valentines Musical Night social a success!

Our recent Musical Night featuring the club’s super group ‘The Hard Court Rockers’ was a great success, with all tickets sold and everyone enjoying an evening of music and dance (plus a buffet supper by Blue Hill Cafe). New tennis term begins!

New drawing classes – last chance to sign up!

Keen to brush up on your artwork?  Then don’t miss out on local artist Julie Herring’s NEW drawing classes at the club, starting the end of January! The drawing classes are suitable for beginners and improvers, and we will be drawing from nature (still life).  Classes will run every Friday, 10.30am-12.30pm, from 27th January – 31st March 2017.
