Our Club

We’re a busy tennis, croquet and bridge club with over 500 members. We have 19 tennis courts on 3 different surfaces (astro, hard and grass) and regular club sessions and coaching sessions. We have 5 full-size tournament standard croquet lawns, and members play both Association and Golf croquet. We also have an active bridge section with weekly sessions for Duplicate and Chicago bridge.

Mini Tennis Xmas Party – Friday 15th December

This Friday evening is the last East Dorset Mini Tennis session before Christmas so it’s going to be a party… or at least lots of fun tennis activities and games on the astro courts, with Xmas tunes playing in the background! All children aged 3-7 years old are welcome, and it’s £3.50 per child… but remember they’ll need to wear something Christmassy, e.g. santa hats, reindeer antlers or tinsel! Team Challenge fun at East Dorset!

On Sunday 3rd December we held our first ever Team Challenge event and welcomed 36 children to our club, including teams from Blandford Tennis Academy and Christchurch Tennis Facility. There were 2 tournaments running alongside, one for Mini Red, the other for Mini Orange, with the children playing in teams of 3, with a mix of singles and doubles matches.Thanks to all the youngsters who took part and there was a brilliant family atmosphere, so we’re already looking forward to our next Team Challenge event on Sunday 21st January, this time for Mini Green and Yellow ball juniors… so save... EDLTCC – Floodlighting & Clay Courts Update

We’re pleased to announce that work on the floodlights and conversion of the 4 hard courts (7-10) to artificial clay will be taking place over the next few weeks.It means that from 4th December these courts will be out of action for 3 weeks leading up to Christmas. We will keep you all informed if there are any changes to this.
