If you thought grass courts 1-6 were playing well, cialis
wait until you play on the three courts in the cage! Officially opened on Thursday in time for ladies match practice in the evening, no rx
the coaches and first team players who tried them out in the afternoon described them as excellent. Then in the evening 2 ladies doubles matches were played against Milford and the players were full of praise.
In the Autumn our groundsman Daniel Tomberry re-seeded the courts with rye grass and spread four tonnes of clay based top dressing over the surface, before drag netting in, to improve levelling and bounce. Now we can all reap the benefits!
It’s a busy weekend of tennis at East Dorset, with doubles league matches Saturday and Sunday, and junior tournaments on Sunday. The weather is set fair though and the grass courts are in play, so hopefully there’ll be space for everyone to play their tennis!

Thanks to everyone who played in the American Tournament this afternoon, we had a full house of 24 players on the six grass courts. Conditions were challenging with a blustery wind but it was good fun!
There were lots of good rallies and close points, but congratulations go to our winners and runners up:
Winner: Liz Nation
Runners-up: Kate Tunks, Sue Eales & Dagmar James
Winner: Connor Travers
Runner-up: Paul Sepping
Missed out this time? We’re planning another one for the August Bank Holiday… see you there!
We might not have the Bryan brothers but it’s American Tournament
time again! If you’re free next Bank Holiday Monday (31st May)
then do join us for a fun afternoon of mixed doubles from 3pm on the astro courts (or the grass if the weather gods are with us!)
Please report to the clubhouse by 2.30pm
for registration (entry fee £2
) and to be given your scorecard and a run-through of the rules. Then we’ll head up to the astro courts (or down to the grass courts) for play to begin at 3pm.
As usual, there’ll be prizes
the winning lady and gent, so there’s all to play for! Prizes haven’t yet been confirmed but they may need to be kept in ice… We’ll have the usual photocall of players and winners too 🙂
We need a minimum of 12 players for the tournament to go ahead, and we’ve had 9 sign ups so far. If you’d like to play, please email us by 6pm on Sunday to reserve your place!

The closing date for entries has been extended to Friday 22nd April to give you more time to enter and pay your entry fee of £5 per player (regardless of how many events you enter, e.g. singles, doubles, seniors, mixed). Entry sheets are on the noticeboard in the club verandah.
Payments must be made promptly (just pop your cash in an envelope with your name on and post it in the letterbox in the lobby). Entries won’t be valid if payment isn’t received by Friday 22nd April. You can also only enter if you’ve renewed your club membership.
Also, don’t forget to write your phone number on the entry sheet too, else your opponents won’t be able to contact you to arrange matches!
