Many members of our club willingly give up their time and resources to help support the club on a voluntary basis, so we’re pleased to announce that the Trustees have agreed to introduce a recognition scheme to formally record and reward the efforts of our volunteers! The Board has agreed to introduce a quarterly scheme continuing through the years on a quarterly basis, with a new Volunteer of the Quarter announced at the end of March, June, September and December. Each Volunteer of the Quarter will be rewarded with a £50 voucher, as a thank you for their contribution to the club.
Our latest “Volunteer of the Quarter” is long standing Croquet member David Harrison-Wood in recognition of his major contribution to the running of the Croquet section including setting up the lawns and hoops and organising club tournaments. Well done David! David’s award was presented to him by Club President Clive Richardson.
Nominations for the scheme should be sent to Penny Simmonds, Club Secretary, for discussion and agreement by the club’s Board of Trustees. Penny can be contacted on email@example.com.
